Year of Amoris Laetitia Family

On March 19, 2021, the Church celebrated the fifth anniversary of the publication of Pope Francis’s apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia, on the beauty and joy of love in the family. On this same day, Pope Francis launched the year “Amoris Laetitia Family,” which will conclude on June 26, 2022, during the X Meeting of Families in Rome with the Holy Father.

We often refer to our church community as our faith family, and we hear our homes referred to as the domestic church. These terms assume that we share an understanding of what a family should be -- the people who will embrace us in our joys and our stumbles... the circle who will see the best in us and yet still challenge us to grow and strive... the place where we are nourished and safe... the feeling that most closely resembles God's love for us. In this year of Amoris Leititia, we strive to support the family through our reflection of Christ.
