Social, Emotional, Spiritual Wellness

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”  Isaiah 40:29

The Greek root of the word "cure" is translated as "repair of the fractured soul," and the word "nurse" finds its roots in "a nurturing of the human spirit." Christians are called to live a life of the Spirit, producing much fruit that is shown through our thoughts, words, and deeds.  At the same time, we are asked to let go and surrender all to Jesus: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5). To accomplish these, we must struggle to relinquish our own plans and breathe in the Holy Spirit.

Here are two wonderful videos with Mari Pablo of Ascension Presents of Why You Need Jesus and a Counselor and Why Surrender is Actually So Difficult.
