Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  Join us for our upcoming September socials:  A Pancake Breakfast at St. Maria Goretti Church Hall this Sunday, September 16 following the 10AM Mass; and a Brunch at Our Lady of the Assumption Church Hall next Sunday, September 23 following the 11AM Mass.  If you have not registered your child/children for the 2018-2019 Faith Formation classes in our parishes, please do so as soon as possible.  Our classes begin in the next few weeks.  If you have questions about grades 1-6, please contact one of our Faith Formation Coordinators for younger children, Cheryl Nunes or Kate McGrath at OLA and Colleen Gioioso or Jamie Bossi at SMG.  For grades 7-10, you can be in touch with Pam Guerrieo, our Director of Youth Faith Formation for both parishes. 

Please pray for our Confirmation candidates as they approach their third and final Sacrament of Initiation at the 5PM Mass on Sunday September 30 at SMG or at the 11AM Mass on Sunday October 14 at OLA.  Bishop Mark O’Connell, the Bishop of the North Region of the Archdiocese of Boston will preside at both of these Confirmation liturgies.
