News and Notes:

Food and Fellowship Gatherings Next Sunday... Our “Welcome Back from Summer Vacation” socials take place next Sunday, September 22:  a Pancake Breakfast at St. Maria Goretti Parish following the 10AM Mass; and a Brunch at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish following the 11AM Mass.  Everyone is welcome!

SMG Ministry Fair... Also next Sunday 9/22, SMG Parish will conduct a Ministry Fair in the Church Hall following the 10AM Mass.  Come and learn about all the many opportunities that are available for SMG parishioners to serve in the liturgical life of their parish.  We need your help!  Thanks to Beverly Merritt and Elizabeth Basile for organizing this event.

Thanks to 3 Collaborative Pastoral Council Members... I want to thank Mark Ferri from OLA, and Jim Fagan and Dennis Rogers from SMG for their service over the last 6 years on our Collaborative Pastoral Council (CPC).  I appreciate their contributions in our efforts to launch our Collaborative, to formulate our Pastoral Plan for Mission, and to nurture our growth as a community of disciples.  As they complete their term of membership on the CPC, we all owe them our appreciation and gratitude.
