Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  Join us for our upcoming September socials:  A Pancake Breakfast at St. Maria Goretti Church Hall on Sunday, September 27 following the 10AM Mass; and a Brunch at Our Lady of the Assumption Church Hall on 9/27 following the 11AM Mass.  Thanks to the parishioners of SMG for their donations to the “Stove Fund”!  A new gas range will be installed in the SMG Church Hall kitchen and ready to go for their opening social in two weeks, and hopefully many events thereafter.  If you have not registered your child/children for the 2015-2016 Faith Formation classes in our parishes, please do so as soon as possible.  Our Religious Education classes begin in the next few weeks.  If you have questions about grades 1-6, please contact one of our Faith Formation Coordinators for younger children, Alexis McDuffee at OLA or Tara DiFelice at SMG.  For grades 7-10, you can be in touch with Stephen Gannon, our Director of Youth Faith Formation for both parishes.  I am happy to announce that Fr. Rick Lesser, our transitional deacon last year who was ordained to the priesthood in Albany, New York on June 20, will be coming back to our Collaborative to celebrate Masses on the weekend of October 17-18.  Fr. Rick will offer Mass at OLA on Saturday 10/17 at 4PM, and at SMG on Sunday 10/18 at 10AM, so please mark your calendars accordingly…and blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
