Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:

Welcome... We are very blessed to have two seminarians with us this current academic year: Colin McNabb, a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Boston, whose hometown is Townsend and who is doing a pastoral year of service in our parishes and school; and Deacon Antonio Lopez, a member of the Congregation of Stigmatine Priests and Brothers, who is from California and will serve our Collaborative on weekends.  Let’s pray for them as they continue their priestly formation and discern their call to serve the Church.

Respect Life... October is Respect Life Month and the Month of the Holy Rosary.  During these upcoming weeks, the Church invites us to devote our prayer and our advocacy for a deeper reverence for the sanctity of human life, from the first moment of conception to the moment of natural death.  In addition, since the memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary falls on October 7, the Church encourages us to pray the Rosary every day this month, imploring Mary to pray for the protection of the Church and the success of its mission to proclaim Christ to a world that is plagued by greed, injustice and violence.  May the Lord let his face shine upon us and be gracious to us as we focus on the sanctity of life and Our Lady’s maternal intercession for her spiritual children…and blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
