Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes: I encourage all OLA and SMG parishioners to review this year’s Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative Annual Report, so ably put together and formatted by Marie Lagman, our Director of Media Ministry, and Caterina Benitez, our Director of Finance and Operations.  It presents in prose, pictures, and numbers the highlights of our Catholic Community in 2016, and the progress we have made in the first three years of our Collaborative. 

St. Maria Goretti parishioners are urged to attend a Town Hall style meeting presented by the SMG Finance Council members this coming Thursday, October 27 at 7PM in the Church Hall.  The Finance Council will offer an overview of last fiscal year’s performance at SMG, and with the help of our newly formed Collaborative Development Committee, describe a plan for moving forward.

Next Sunday, October 30, Our Lady of the Assumption Parish will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation for their eleventh graders at two Masses…11AM and 2PM.  Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit will descend on them and empower them to be strong, effective witnesses for Christ and active participants in the mission of the Church.  Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
