Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes:
Annual Offertory Pledge... In the coming weeks, we will ask all our Collaborative parishioners to make a pledge of their treasure to support the mission of their respective parish in the year ahead. To prepare for this decision, I encourage everyone to think about their own financial situation and resources, and then ask themselves the question the author of Psalm 116 poses: “how can I repay the Lord for all the good he has done for me? I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of his people.” The Finance Councils of both parishes have projected a 3.5% increase in the Offertory income over the amount received last year. Please consider making the most generous pledge your means will allow so that we can reach this target. Many thanks for your prayerful consideration of this request.
Upcoming Masses... Thursday, November 1 is the Solemnity of All Saints, a Holyday of Obligation. We will celebrate Mass as follows:
Wednesday, October 31: 4PM at OLA
Thursday, November 1: 7AM at SMG, 9AM at OLA, 7PM at SMG
A collection for the support of our parishes will take place at these All Saints liturgies.
Don’t forget our annual Remembrance Masses on Sunday, November 4: 10AM at SMG; and 11AM at OLA. Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
