Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes:
Deacon Francis Pham’s Ordination to Priesthood... I am happy to announce that Cardinal Sean O’Malley will ordain our former seminarian intern, Deacon Francis Pham, to the priesthood on Saturday, November 30th at 10AM. The ordination Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church in Waltham, which is located at 920 Trapelo Road. As you recall, Deacon Francis served our Collaborative so generously from 2013-2017. He wants everyone in our parishes and school to know that you are invited to his ordination. A week after his ordination, the soon-to-be Father Francis will celebrate the 4PM Mass at OLA on Saturday, December 7. All are welcome to that liturgy as well.
Inspiring Hope Campaign... In the coming weeks, your fellow parishioners will be approaching you to ask for your support of our upcoming Inspiring Hope Campaign, which will establish Endowment and Maintenance Funds in both parishes that will ensure financial stability in our Catholic Community for years to come. These men and women have already made their pledge to Inspiring Hope, as have I, and we simply ask that you prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift that is manageable for you and lends generous support to this important Campaign. Inspiring Hope pledges can be paid over a five-year span. Thanks for your faithful stewardship of your respective parish.
All Saints Mass Schedule... Friday, November 1, is the Solemnity of All Saints, a Holyday of Obligation. Masses will be celebrated as follows:
Thursday, October 31: 4PM at OLA
Friday, November 1: 7AM at SMG, 9AM at OLA, 7PM at SMG
Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
