Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes:
Confirmation at OLA... Congratulations to our eleventh graders who are being confirmed this Sunday at the 11AM OLA Mass. Once again, our Regional Bishop Mark O’Connell will be the celebrant of the Confirmation liturgy. Let’s all pray that the gifts the Holy Spirit bestows on our candidates for Confirmation (wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord) will equip and empower them to excel in Christian virtue and be true witnesses of Christ in their lives.
Mark your Calendars...
- The Solemnity of All Saints, a Holyday of Obligation, takes place on Thursday, November 1. The Mass Schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, October 31: 4PM at OLA
Thursday, November 1: 7AM at SMG, 9AM at OLA, 7PM at SMG
- Our annual Masses of Remembrance (liturgies at which we commend to our merciful God the souls of all those people whose funerals we have celebrated in the past year) will take place on Sunday, November 4 at SMG (10AM) and OLA (11AM). Everyone is welcome.
Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
