Twenty-eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  Next weekend, I will address the entire OLA Parish Family regarding an Increased Offertory Program to be conducted over the next several weeks in their parish.  This program has the support of the Finance Council members of both parishes.  The goal of this program is to increase offertory contributions by 20% or more.  Each parish household will receive more information about his program and be asked to participate to the best of their ability.  We realize that some families or individuals are on fixed incomes or experiencing difficult financial times.  We are counting on the many members of the OLA family that are able to make a sacrifice to increase significantly their weekly offering.  Once the program is underway, additional information will be communicated.  It will be St.Maria Goretti Parish’s turn to run an Increased Offertory Program in the coming weeks.  The whole Pastoral Team appreciates your continued generosity and faithful stewardship of your particular parish, and we look forward to strengthening our two parishes through this program, which will be conducted by Cornerstone Fundraising, out of Newburyport, MA, a consulting service that has produced very positive results for scores of parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston.  Please pray for the success of this endeavor.  The next Pasta Dinner is scheduled for the OLA Church Hall following the 4PM Mass next Saturday, October 18.   Blessings to all of you in the week ahead.
