Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe
News and Notes:
On our Commitment to Stewardship Appeal... Thanks to all the speakers the last few weekends who have invited us to make a financial commitment to support the mission of our respective parish in the coming year. If you have not already done so, please fill out your pledge card and either place it in the Offertory collection basket or return it to our Collaborative Office Building, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield, 01940. If everyone gives what they can, according to their means, and adhere to the principle that disciples of Jesus are good stewards of their faith and Church, we will move forward confidently in our mission.
Advent Almsgiving... Once again this Advent, we are seeking to raise funds to help provide beds for homeless children in our area. As is our new custom during Advent, we will take up a separate Children’s Offertory Collection at the 9 and 11AM Sunday Masses at OLA, and the 10AM Sunday Mass at SMG. If you would like to make a contribution to our Advent charity, you can make out a check to your respective parish with “Beds for Kids” in the memo line and drop it in the regular Offertory collection basket at any Mass.
A Holyday of Obligation on December 8... Saturday, December 8, is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holyday of Obligation. We will celebrate Masses as follows:
Friday, December 7: 4PM at OLA
Saturday, December 8: 9AM at OLA and 10AM at SMG
A collection in support of our parish will be taken up at all these Holyday Masses.
Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
