Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed
News and Notes: This is “Commitment Weekend” at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. As a response to the call for increased annual and weekly giving, all OLA parishioners are asked to return their completed Commitment Envelopes this week by placing them in the Offertory collection. During the past few weeks, some OLA parishioners and I spoke about our “effort to increase our weekly giving” as a way of giving thanks to God for all the good he has done for us. A brochure and Commitment Envelope was mailed to every home in the parish. Additional brochures are available in the Church. If you pick up these materials after Mass, please return your envelope as soon as possible by mail, or place it in the collection at Mass next weekend. Please help OLA Parish meet its growing financial obligations and consider a giving level that is best suited to your circumstances. This will allow OLA parish to plan accurately for the future. Prayerfully and carefully consider your commitment. We realize that much has already been asked of our parishioners, and that some families or individuals are on a fixed income or experiencing difficult financial times. We are counting on those who are able to make a sacrifice and increase their weekly giving. Remember: the OLA Parish Community is a reflection of each of its members. Our generosity determines what this community can do for others. A small sacrifice makes a big difference! The Increased Offertory Program begins at St. Maria Goretti Parish on the weekend of November 15-16, when Mike Tetrault and I will be speaking at all the SMG Masses. Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
