Thirty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time

ews and Notes:  The Offertory Commitment Weekend for our Collaborative is next weekend, November 18-19.  Every family in both parishes is asked to consider their financial stewardship of their respective parish for the coming year, and to make a generous pledge commensurate with their means.  As I wrote in my letter of October 20, this single pledge will hopefully help us not only meet our ordinary operating expenses, but tackle some of the capital projects that are crying out for attention. These include the chimney repair work at the Collaborative Business Office on Grove St., and the replacement of the Church doors at OLA; and at SMG, the ongoing repair of the heating pipes in the Hall, and corrective work on the sound system in the Church.

Before making your pledge, I ask you to consider your answer to a question posed in Psalm 116: “What return should I make to the Lord for all the good he has done for me?”  If your answer is: a commitment of sacrificial giving to the mission of the Lord in his Church, you can be sure you will be richly blessed.  Many thanks to all the members of the Development Committee and volunteers in this Offertory Campaign…and blessings to all Veterans for their service to our country, and to all of you in the week ahead!
