The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

News and Notes:  Join us for a Holy Hour of Prayer for Vocations to the Diocesan Priesthood and Religious life this week.  St. Maria Goretti Parish will host this Holy Hour on Wednesday evening, June 1 from 7-8PM; and Our Lady of the Assumption Parish will be the site of this Holy Hour on Friday, June 3 following the 9:00 o’clock  daily Mass from about 9:30 to 10:30AM.  Thanks to our Collaborative Vocations Committee for organizing this opportunity to pray that the Lord of the Harvest would send more spiritual laborers into the fields of the Church.  Here is the latest update on our 2016 Catholic Appeal performance:  as of May 17, OLA parishioners had pledged $54,408, which is 99% of their goal of $54,938; and SMG parishioners had pledged $43,497, which is 156% of their goal of $27,797.  OLA is just shy of its goal, while SMG has far exceeded its goal, both excellent showings just 2 ½ months into the annual Appeal which supports over 50 Central Ministries that serve thousands of people every day throughout Eastern Massachusetts.  Join Deacon Tom and myself for the annual Lynnfield Memorial Day festivities this coming Monday morning, May 30 beginning at 8:15 at OLA, continuing at the Middle School at 10:00 and concluding at the Common with a service from 11:00-11:30.  Blessings to all of you, particularly our Veterans, on this Memorial Day weekend!
