News and Notes: Here is the latest 2018 Catholic Appeal update:  As of May 11, St. Maria Goretti families had pledged $40,155, which is 106% of the SMG goal of $37,831.67; and Our Lady of the Assumption families had donated $52,067 which is 84% of the OLA goal of $62,342.50. If you have not done so already, please make a pledge by filling out a Catholic Appeal pledge card at the entrance of our churches and dropping it in the collection basket, or by going online to www.bostoncatholicappeal.org.  The Catholic Appeal supports over 50 vital ministries of the Catholic Church in eastern Massachusetts as well as our own parishes.  This year both OLA and SMG will receive back about 50% of the paid donations that exceed their respective fair-share assessment to the Catholic Appeal.  Thank you for your faithful stewardship of our parishes.
