Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion

News and Notes:

“My God, My God why have you forsaken me?”  We all know the awful feeling of being forsaken, abandoned by those we love and serve, and even by God.  We may feel forsaken from time to time, especially in moments of deep hurt or painful loss or overwhelming stress, but our faith assures us that we are never alone, left to our own resources.

At the start of Holy Week, may our Holy Communion with Jesus help us to bear our crosses with trust in the compassionate heart of God! And as we continue our journey in this Year of the Eucharist, let us keep in mind these words from Saint Augustine of Hippo: “Recognize in this bread what hung from the cross, and in this chalice what flowed from his side.”
