Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord

News and Notes:

Don’t forget to register your child or children for religious education classes next Fall.  You can do so in either Church Hall this weekend or by going to our Website (lynnfieldcatholic.org.)  As announced last weekend, we are taking up a special second collection at all Masses in both parishes this Palm Sunday weekend.  Due to the recent storms, we have designated it for Winter Relief.  Your donations will help our parishes pay the snow removal and property damage bills we have assumed due to the severe winter. Thank you for your faithful stewardship of our parishes!

Here are the encouraging early results of our performance in the 2018 Catholic Appeal:  as of March 16, the day of the official announcement of this year’s Appeal, OLA parishioners had already pledged $27,840, which is 45% of their goal; SMG parishioners had already pledged $15,840 or 42% of their goal.  Another reminder, if a parish reaches its fair share assessment in the Catholic Appeal this year, it will receive up to 50% of the paid funds over and above that base figure….a good motivation to make a pledge to the Catholic Appeal (if you have not already done so) to support the many vital ministries of our wider Catholic Church and the mission of your own parish.  The one and only collection at all Masses next weekend (the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday) is for the Clergy Funds, supporting the priests of the Archdiocese in their retirement, medical and financial needs.  Thank you for your generosity!   A blessed Holy Week to all of you!
