Third Sunday of Lent

News and Notes:  Just a reminder about “The Light is On for You” during the season of Lent, a weeknight opportunity to celebrate reconciliation with the Lord and his people. Come and experience the forgiving, healing grace of our Savior in the Sacrament of Penance.  If you have been away from Confession for a long time and are not sure of what to say, the priest will help you.  I will be available in the OLA Reconciliation Room this coming Wednesday, March 22 from 6:30-7:30PM.

An update on the 2017 Catholic Appeal…as of February 27, St. Maria Goretti parishioners had pledged $11,080, which is 32% of the SMG goal of $34,347; Our Lady of the Assumption parishioners had pledged $24,670, which is 42% of the OLA goal of $59,211….a great start in both parishes to this year’s Appeal!  Remember, once again, if a parish exceeds its fair share assessment, it will receive back 60% of the paid pledges over that amount (Last year, SMG received a rebate of $12,503.37; OLA got back $14,800.70, both outstanding totals!)   Thanks for your generosity…please make a pledge if you have not done so already!

Blessings to all of you in the Lenten week ahead!
