Tenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

News and Notes: I am happy to announce the appointment of Marie Lagman to the new position of Media Ministry Director for the Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative as of July 1.  Marie, who has served as the Faith Formation Support person for St. Maria Goretti Parish for the last few years, will now be responsible for the electronic, digital, visual and print communications in our Catholic Community. In particular, Marie will work on website and social media, as well as the weekly bulletin to insure that we disseminate news about our parishes and school and wider Church using a wide variety of traditional and contemporary methods.  We look forward to her contributions in this important component of our Collaborative Pastoral Plan.  Here is the latest update of our 2016 Catholic Appeal:  both parishes have now exceeded their goal this year.  As of May 24, OLA parishioners had pledged $55,158, which put them over their goal of $54,938; SMG parishioners had pledged $43,597, which is 157% of their goal of $27,797.  Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all those who have made a pledge thus far!  If you have not done so already, please go to www.bostoncatholicappeal.org or fill out one of the Catholic Appeal pledge cards at the entrance of our churches and help both our wider Catholic Community and your respective parish in serving those entrusted to their care.  Both parishes will receive at least 60% of every dollar donated and paid for over their particular fair-share assessment.  Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
