Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  Don’t forget that we are suspending the 5PM Sunday Mass at St. Maria’s from July 5 through September 6.  There are three main reasons for this decision:  1) lower than usual attendance at this Mass during the summer months the last two years; 2) priests need time away from the parish during the summer for retreat and vacation; 3) there is now an acute shortage of priests available to fill in for parish priests when we are sick or away.  Thank you for your understanding…the Sunday 5PM Mass at SMG will resume on September 13.  Next Sunday, July 5, a group of parishioners from Our Lady’s will host a collation in the SMG Church Hall following the 10AM Mass in honor of the feast day of St. Maria Goretti which is July 6.  Thanks to Angela Siraco and all those who helped to organize this social event in a true “Collaborative” spirit!   During the summer, members of our Pastoral Council will be soliciting the input and service of people from both parishes concerning the implementation of our recently completed Pastoral Plan for the Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative.  The plan will be posted on our website as soon as we get the approval of Cardinal Sean O’Malley.  Please familiarize yourself with our plan for the next 3-5 years, and try to find a way you can help make it happen!  Blessings to all of you in the summer days ahead!
