Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:

Personnel Announcement... I wish to inform you that Colleen Gioioso has resigned from her position as Coordinator of Faith Formation for Grades 1-6 at St. Maria Goretti Parish.  Join me in thanking Colleen for her efforts to strengthen the Faith Formation curriculum and to assist our catechists in their noble work of teaching the Catholic faith to our young parishioners.  Best wishes to you, Colleen!

I am happy to announce the appointment of Jamie Bossi to the role of Coordinator of Elementary Faith Formation (grades 1-6) and Robyn Yannone to the position of Coordinator of Adolescent Faith Formation (grades 7-11).  We are very fortunate to have such a great team of dedicated leaders to oversee our Faith Formation program at SMG!

OLA Stairs Challenge... For several weeks you probably noticed the cracked, broken front stairs at the Collaborative Office Building, as well as the barrier that prevented people from climbing the stairs.  Those stairs have now been prepared.  Also, you may have noticed similar deteriorating symptoms on the stairs leading to the chapel entrance of OLA Church, which as of this writing have not yet been repaired.  The total cost of these two projects is $9000.  I have made an initial contribution of $250 and now invite all OLA parishioners to join me in helping us pay for this important work---it is imperative that we provide a safe entry for everyone into our buildings, but this requires financial support.  If you wish to make a donation in any amount you can put “Stairs Challenge” in the memo line of your check.

Happy Patronal Feast Day (July 6) to SMG parishioners and blessings to all of you in the summer days ahead!
