Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  Here is the latest 2015 Catholic Appeal update:  as of June 23, 208 Our Lady’s parishioners had pledged $54,188, which is 97% of the OLA goal; and 103 St. Maria’s parishioners had pledged $23,770, which is 85% of SMG goal.  Please make a pledge using the Catholic Appeal packets at the entrance of our churches or by visiting our Collaborative website (www.lynnfield catholic.org) and help put us over the top before long.  Thanks for your generous support of the 50+ Central Ministries of the Catholic Church in eastern Massachusetts!  Here is a prayer for our country on Independence Day:  “God, source of all freedom, this day is bright with the memory of those who declared that life and liberty are your gift to every human being.  Help us to continue a good work begun long ago.  Make our vision clear and our will strong:  that only in human solidarity will we find liberty; and only in the dignity that belongs to every life on earth will we find justice.  Turn our hearts toward the family of nations:  to understand the ways of others, to offer friendship, and to find safety only in the common good of all.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.”  Happy July 4th weekend and Happy Feast Day to all our St. Maria Goretti Parishioners (their actual parish feast day is July 6).  Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
