Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  Thanks to Angela Siraco and all the OLA parishioners who hosted the collation following the 10AM Mass on Sunday July 9 at SMG.  The occasion was our annual celebration of the Feast of St. Maria Goretti.  Thanks also go the Knights of Columbus for their presence and service at the Mass, and to our Holy Spirit Ensemble for providing such beautiful music under the direction of Jayson Cote.  SMG parishioners have a chance to return the favor by hosting a collation two weeks from this weekend, Sunday, August 13 following the 11AM Mass at OLA as we celebrate the patronal Feast of Our Lady’s Parish.  The Holy Spirit Ensemble will also be leading song at that Mass…if you would like to sing or play an instrument with this group, just contact Jayson at [email protected] or 781-598-4313.  He will get you the music ahead of time so you can listen to it and practice; and then all you need to do is just show up for a one hour rehearsal at 10AM on August 13 at OLA, and sing/and or play at the Mass that follows.  Our Music Ministry welcomes everyone! 

The actual Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary occurs on Tuesday, August 15.  It is a Holy Day of Obligation.  Masses will be celebrated as follows:

Monday, August 14: 4PM (OLA)
Tuesday, August 15: 7AM (SMG), 9AM (OLA), 7PM (SMG)

A collection for the support of your respective parish will be taken up at all these Holy Day Masses.  Blessings to all of you in the summer days ahead!
