Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes: As you know, I have invited OLA parishioners to join me in the effort to raise $10,000 to repair the cracked and leaking chimney on the Collaborative Office Building at 17 Grove St.  I have made a personal donation of $500 and have invited all members of the OLA family to help us take care of this project in the next few months by matching that amount, or giving whatever you can.  You can send your donation to me at 17 Grove St.

Now I am inviting SMG parishioners to join me in the Rectory Stairs challenge.  As some of you may have seen, we have had to rebuild the stairs leading to the side entrance of the priest’s Residence.  They had grown loose and slightly displaced from water damage and were becoming increasingly dangerous to walk on, especially during the winter season.  We also had to replace the wooden support columns at the top of these stairs because they have rotted and weakened over the years.  Last November I made a donation of $1,000 to help defray the cost of this much needed project.  If anyone from the SMG family would like to help us raise the remaining $7,600, you can send your donation in any amount to me at the SMG Rectory, 112 Chestnut St.

Thanks to all the members of our Collaborative for your faithful stewardship of our buildings and property…and blessings to all of you in the summer days ahead!
