Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:

Welcome Fr. Odilon… Join me in welcoming Father Odilon Amenyaglo, SMA to our Collaborative during the month of August.  Fr. Odilon hails from Togo, West Africa and has been ordained for 4 years.  We are blessed to have him serve our parishes in the coming summer weeks.

Stewardship Challenges… Once again, I invite OLA parishioners to respond to my summer Stairs Challenge. We are trying to raise $9,000 to pay for the new stairs that are now in place at the front of the Office Building on Grove St. and at the Chapel entrance near Salem St.  We are grateful for your stewardship of buildings on our parish grounds.

And now to SMG parishioners…I invite you to join me in contributing to a new summer stewardship challenge.  We need to repair and paint the ceiling in the dining room of our Rectory, which was damaged due to a leak on the second floor that actually caused a hole and stain in the ceiling.  Also, the assembly unit that operates the handicap accessible door at SMG Church needs to be repaired.  The cost of these projects is $3,300.  Your donation in any amount is appreciated.  Just put “SMG Summer Challenge” in the memo line of your check to SMG if you wish to make a donation.  Many thanks for your stewardship.

Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
