Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes: I am happy to announce the appointment of Nate Marsella to the position of Religious Education Coordinator of Grades 3-6 at St. Maria Goretti Parish. Nate is a resident of Saugus and holds a degree in theology from the former Weston School of Theology in Cambridge. He and his wife Sarah have four young children; their two oldest children are students in Our Lady’s School. I also wish to announce the appointment of Joe Jorge as the Religious Education Coordinator for Grades 3-6 at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. Joe hails from Leominister, MA, where he lives with his wife and children. Joe has served for this past year as a Spanish and Religion teacher at OLA School and he is currently a candidate for the Master of Arts in Ministry degree at St. John’s Seminary. Join me in welcoming these two young dads to our excellent Faith Formation team. Many thanks to Angela Siracco and the Hospitality Committee from OLA for hosting a collation at SMG Church Hall after the 10AM Mass on July 6, the feast day of St. Maria Goretti; this social was very well attended and provided an opportunity for parishioners from both parishes to mingle. Summer blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
