Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes: I am happy to announce the appointment of Pam Guerrieo as Director of Youth Faith Formation (grades 7-12) in the Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative (LCC).  For many years, Pam has been a leader in the Confirmation Preparation Program and Youth Ministry at St. Michael Parish in North Andover, one of the largest parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston.  Pam is also a student in the Master of Arts in Ministry program for Laity at St. John’s Seminary.  Pam brings a wealth of experience, lots of energy and abundant enthusiasm to her new position with us.  She will begin her ministry here on August 1.  Join me in welcoming Pam to the LCC!

It is also my pleasure to announce that Piri Collard will serve as the Faith Formation Coordinator for grades 1-6 at OLA Parish this coming year.  Piri is a long time parishioner of OLA and assisted Alexis McDuffee in leading this Formation program for our younger children at OLA last year.  Piri is currently a member of our Collaborative Pastoral Council and a Wedding Coordinator.  Her strong faith and joyful spirit will be a gift in her new role of service to the families of OLA.  Welcome aboard, Piri!

A Prayer for our Country as we celebrate Independence Day:

Father of all nations and ages, we recall that day when our country claimed its place among the family of nations; for what has been achieved we give you thanks, for the work that still remains we ask your help, and as you have called us from many peoples to be one nation, grant that, under your providence, our country may share your blessings with all the peoples of the earth; through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.   Amen.
