Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  Don’t forget that we are suspending the 5PM Sunday Mass at St. Maria’s from July 1 through September 2…the Sunday 5PM Mass at SMG will resume on September 9.  This Sunday July 1, a group of parishioners from Our Lady’s will host a collation in the SMG Church Hall following the 10AM Mass in honor of the feast day of St. Maria Goretti which falls on Friday, July 6.  Thanks to Angela Siraco and all those OLA folks who helped to organize this social event and serve with a true “Collaborative” spirit.

Here is a prayer for Independence Day:

Father of all nations and ages, we recall the day when our country claimed its place among the family of nations; for what has been achieved we give you thanks, for the work that still remains we ask your help, and as you have called us from many peoples to be one nation, grant that, under your providence, our country may share your blessings with all the peoples of the earth.  We make our prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.  Amen

Happy Fourth of July and blessings to all of you in the summer days ahead!
