The Epiphany of the Lord
News and Notes:
Inspiring Hope Continues... Although 2019 has come to an end, there is still time to make a pledge to the Inspiring Hope Campaign in your respective parish. Your gift will help ensure a more secure financial future for your community of faith, so that we can keep up with maintenance projects as they arise and continue to fund the mission of drawing others to Christ and his Church through our ministries. Pledge forms are available at the entrances of both churches.
Pulpit Exchange... In observance of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January 18-25), Pastor Glenn Mortimer from the Wakefield Lynnfield United Methodist Church and I will be preaching in each other’s church during the next few weeks. Next Sunday, January 12, I will be preaching at the 10:30 service at the Methodist church located at 273 Vernon St. in Wakefield. Two weeks later, on Sunday, January 26, Pastor Glenn will be speaking at the 10:00 Mass at St. Maria Goretti Church.
Thanks to Kathy Lucey, Donna Hegan, JJ Kenney, Dan Whelan and Fr. Tony and all those who helped to decorate our churches so beautifully for the Christmas Season. Blessings to all of you for a happy, healthy, holy 2020!
