Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes:
Please join us... I want to invite all the men of our parishes to join our Men’s Faith Sharing Group, now entering its seventh year. The group meets on the first and third Saturday mornings each month from 7:45 to 8:45AM (September through May) at St. Maria Goretti Rectory. John DiBello and I have been leading this group since its inception and we are always looking for new members. The format for these gatherings is simple: some initial social time with coffee and donuts, the reading of the upcoming Sunday’s Scripture readings, faith sharing and some intercessory prayer. All men from both parishes are encouraged to come and give it a try!
Catholic Schools Week... We begin Catholic Schools Week today. This week gives us a golden opportunity to celebrate our own wonderful parochial school, Our Lady of the Assumption School, which currently serves about 350 children from ages 3-14, spanning Pre-School through 8th grade. Led by our Principal Cindy Donovan and Vice-Principal Will Bachner along with a dedicated faculty, OLA School continues to grow in enrollment and academic excellence, all at an affordable price given the competition. If you are considering OLA School for your child, please contact Amy Rogovich, the School’s Administrative Assistant, at 781-599-4422 or visit the School’s website at www.ola.school for more information. You can support the mission of OLA School by making a generous donation in the collection we will be taking up in both parishes during Catholic Schools Week.
Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
