Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes:
So what is your conversion story? When have you experienced a call to follow Christ more closely? Was it at your first Holy Communion or Confirmation? Was it some other event in your childhood or young adult years… retreat, a class in high school or college, an outing with friends? Was it your marriage, becoming a parent, baptizing your children and registering them for religious education class? Perhaps it was a crisis moment---the loss of a loved one, the breakup of a marriage, a tragic accident, the shattering of a dream, the acknowledgement of some addiction? Maybe it was 9/11 or the pandemic and its medical and economic consequences? Maybe it was none of the above or much of the above and more. God can work through anything in multiple moments of our lives to invite us to follow Christ more closely. For Catholics, conversion is not a one-time event. It is an ongoing process, a lifelong journey. So may we always be open to the grace of conversion, and with the help of the Eucharist, embrace our faith more fully in Christ as our Lord and Savior!
Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
