Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

News and Notes:  This weekend we are celebrating World Marriage Day, and giving our married couples a chance to renew their wedding vows during Mass.  The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that husband and wife, in their intimate sacramental communion of life and love, are leaders of their own “domestic church,” a miniature Church in any given household.  In their faithful and fruitful conjugal love, spouses are “by word and example…the first heralds of the faith with regard to their children.”   Thanks to all our married couples for their beautiful vocation and for the many ways they build up our parishes through their loving service!  We had our first Men’s Spirituality group meeting on February 1 at St. Maria’s…we are off to a great start.  All men of both parishes are invited to attend these gatherings on the first and third Saturday mornings of each month from 7:45 to 8:45 AM at SMG Church Hall.  Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
