Second Sunday of Advent
News and Notes:
Christmas is Coming Soon
Don’t forget that a priest will be available in the Reconciliation Room of both our churches on Monday, December 17, from 6:30-7:30PM for those who wish to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Going to confession is a great way to heed the words of the prophet Isaiah and John the Baptist: “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.” If you have not celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation for a long time; fear not, we priests will be happy to assist you when you come to make your confession.
As you know, the Mass schedule for Christmas Eve and Day is as follows:
Monday, December 24: 4PM at OLA Church and School Hall, 4PM at SMG Church and Church Hall
Tuesday, December 25: 9AM at OLA Church, 10AM at SMG Church, 11AM at OLA Church
The one and only collection taken up at all of the above Masses is for the Clergy Funds, to support the medical and retirement needs of the priests of the Archdiocese of Boston. Fr. Tony and I are very grateful for your generous support of us throughout the year and certainly in this Christmas collection.
If you want to make a Christmas donation to your respective parish, please indicate that clearly on an envelope or in the memo line of your check. Many thanks for your faithful stewardship.
Advent blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
