Second Sunday of Advent

News and Notes: Our young families are invited to join us for Breakfast with Santa (or better: St. Nicholas) this coming Saturday, December 10 from 10AM-12Noon at St. Maria Goretti Church Hall.  Later that day, OLA School Children will be singing at the 4PM Mass at Our Lady’s Church.  The School Christmas Concert will follow at 5:30PM, capped off by a procession out to the crèche in front of the Church for a blessing and the lighting of the Christmas tree in that area.  Everyone is welcome.  The next day, Sunday, December 11, the Lynnfield Collaborative Children’s Choir (better known as “Angels in the Morning”) will be leading song at the 10AM Mass at SMG.  If you have not yet heard the children in these choirs sing, this coming weekend will provide a good opportunity.

If you have not already made your annual pledge to support the Offertory of your respective parish, please do so by prayerfully considering the financial support you are able and willing to give in 2017, completing one of our Faith, Action and Hope pledge cards and placing it in the collection basket at Mass or mailing it to our Collaborative Office Building at 17 Grove St.  The one and only collection taken up at all the masses on Christmas Eve and Day will be for the Clergy Funds, to support the retirement needs of the priests of the Archdiocese of Boston.  Fr. Tony and I thank you in advance for your generous donation to this worthy cause.  If you wish to make a Christmas donation to your particular parish, please mark that clearly on an envelope, in a check memo line or by an online note, so we know your intention.
