First Sunday of Advent

News and Notes

Once again, I encourage all SMG and OLA parishioners to participate in the current Offertory Pledge Campaign by joining me in increasing their Offertory commitment as much as they can.  If you have not done so already, please return your commitment form as soon as possible by placing it in the collection basket, or by mailing it to our Collaborative Office Building at 17 Grove St. 

Coming this Week

Calling New Altar Servers!  Any child from the third grade through high school is welcome to join Deacon Patrick and Father Paul for a training session to prepare a new group of altar servers for OLA.  Come to OLA Church on Saturday, December 9 at 9AM to learn how to assist our priests and parishioners in the celebration of Mass.  Also next Saturday, December 9, Breakfast with Santa and St. Nicholas will take place in SMG Church Hall from 10AM to 12 Noon.  All families are welcome!

Mass Schedule Information

The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is this coming Friday, December 8.  It is a Holy Day of Obligation with Masses on Thursday, December 7 at 4PM (OLA); and on Friday, December 8 at 7AM (SMG); 9AM (OLA) and 7PM (SMG).  On Monday, December 18, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available at both churches from 6:30-7:30PM.  The Christmas Mass schedule for our Collaborative will be as follows:

Sunday December 24 Christmas Eve:  4PM in OLA Church and School, 4PM in SMG Church and Hall
Monday December 25 Christmas Day:  9AM and 11AM OLA Church, 10AM SMG Church
