Fourth Sunday of Advent

News and Notes:

There is no 5PM Mass at St. Maria Goretti Church this Sunday, December 23, because with Christmas Eve on our doorstep, we need time to decorate the Church for the Christmas Season.  The 5PM Sunday Mass at SMG will resume next Sunday, December 30.

Tuesday, January 1 is the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, a Holyday of Obligation. We will celebrate Masses as follows:

Monday, December 31: 4PM at both OLA and SMG
Tuesday, January 1:   9AM at SMG, 11AM at OLA

The one and only collection we shall take up at all Christmas Eve and Day Masses will be to support the medical and retirement needs of the priests of the Archdiocese of Boston.  Fr. Tony and I are very grateful for your support of this collection, as are Fr. Jack Farrell and all our senior priests who have served the Church in Boston faithfully for many decades. If you wish to make a Christmas donation to your particular parish, please indicate that clearly on an envelope or in the memo line of your check.  Many thanks for your faithful stewardship and generous hearts…and along with our deacons, lay ecclesial ministers and all our staff members, Fr. Tony and I wish you all a joyous and peaceful Christmas Season!
