Third Sunday of Advent

Don’t forget the Christmas Concert featuring Jim Dennis this Sunday afternoon (12/15) at St. Maria’s beginning at 2:30.  The concert should last about an hour and fifteen minutes.  It should be an enjoyable event for the whole family.  All proceeds for the concert will go to Our Lady’s School.  With Christmas now just ten days away, it is a good time to think about preparing our hearts and souls for the feast of Christ’s birth by celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  In addition to the usual opportunity for the Sacrament of Penance on Saturday afternoons from 3-3:45, Fr. Tony and I will be available to hear confessions on Monday, December 23 from 7-8PM in the respective Reconciliation Rooms of our two parishes.  We are also available by appointment.  Come and receive the forgiving, healing love of our Savior before we celebrate his birthday!  Another reminder about the upcoming Christmas collection at all the Masses…it will be entirely directed to the Clergy Funds, to support the retirement, medical and financial needs of our diocesan priests.  It is a great way to express gratitude to all the priests who have touched our lives through their presence and ministry.  If, in addition, you would like to make a Christmas donation to either parish, please indicate that clearly on your check or envelope, so that we can discern your intention accurately.  Advent blessings to you and all your loved ones!
