First Sunday of Advent
News and Notes:
Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent... Though Advent is not the penitential season that Lent is, it is a sacred time to prepare the way of the Lord and the feast of his birth. In addition to weekly Saturday confessions from 3-3:45PM in both parishes, a priest will be available to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation in both parishes on Monday, December 16 from 6:30-7:30PM.
Inspiring Hope Campaign... Thanks to those who have already made a pledge to the Inspiring Hope Campaign of their respective parish. If you have not yet done so, I strongly encourage you to join me and the generous donors thus far from OLA and SMG in becoming an “intentional giver” to ensure sufficient financial support of our mission as a Catholic community going forward. With another Commitment Weekend on the horizon (December 7-8), please consider making a sacrificial pledge, a “stretch give,” to Inspiring Hope that is manageable for you and your family, a pledge that will benefit your parish by helping it establish Endowment and Maintenance Funds.
Father Francis is Coming Back... Fr. Francis Pham, our former seminarian from 2013-2017 and now a newly ordained priest, will celebrate the 4PM Mass at OLA next Saturday 12/7. All our Collaborative parishioners are welcome.
Advent blessings to all of you!
