Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes:
Holyday and OLA Feast Day… August 15 is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the patronal feast day of OLA Parish and School, and a Holyday of Obligation for all Catholics. Masses in our Collaborative will be celebrated as follows:
Wednesday, August 14: 4PM at OLA
Thursday, August 15: 7AM at SMG, 9AM at OLA, 7PM at SMG
A collection will be taken up for the support of your respective parish at each of these Masses.
Please Note: St. Maria Goretti parishioners will host a brunch in the OLA Church Hall following the 11AM Mass next Sunday, August 11, to help us celebrate the Feast Day of OLA Parish and School. All are welcome!
Summer Challenges… Just a reminder of our ongoing Rectory Ceiling and Accessible Door Challenge at SMG. We are trying to raise $3,300 to repair the ceiling in the dining room of the Rectory, which was punctured and stained by a leak on the second floor, and repair the handicap accessible door at SMG Church. Please send your donation with “Summer Challenge” in the memo line. We are thrilled to announce that we’ve met the Stairs Challenge at OLA! Many thanks for your faithful stewardship of our buildings and property.
Summer blessings to all of you!
