Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time
News and Notes:
As we continue our journey through the Year of the Eucharist, I offer this quote from Father Bernadot, OP:
"Christ...' is always living to make intercession for us' (Hebrews 7:25). In heaven, in the Blessed Sacrament, he does not cease to plead for us by recalling His merits to his Father...He intercedes for all he has redeemed, for all, as for each in particular. He has a special regard, a special outpouring of His love for everyone...This is not, says St. Thomas, simply knowledge, but a loving recognition, in which the heart takes part as much as the intellect....At every instant he loves me. And with what love!...A love which never lessens; there is never a moment in which I can say, now Jesus does not think of me. Even at night he watches while I sleep...I often forget and offend, but he continues to bestow his grace."
Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
