Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time
Miscellaneous News and Notes:
The 5PM Sunday Mass at St. Maria Goretti Church will resume on Sunday, September 8. Join us for this Lord’s Day “Mass at Dusk” either on weekly basis or whenever it fits your weekend schedule.
Please be generous to the second collection this weekend to express our gratitude to Father Robert Obro and all the African Mission Fathers for their priestly service to the Church, especially to our Collaborative during the month of August the last several years.
Don’t forget our First Responders Mass at the 10AM liturgy on Sunday, September 8 at St. Maria Goretti Church.
Many thanks to all the donors from both SMG and OLA for supporting the Summer Challenge in their respective parish! As a result of their generous stewardship we were able to do needed repair work in and outside of our parish buildings. Thanks also to the OLA Angels for their wonderful financial support of masonry work at the St. Francis Center and main School buildings.
Additional thanks to the Lynnfield Selectmen, the Lynnfield DPW and their hardworking contractors for their great response to my request to repair the curb and sidewalk on Grove Street. The OLA Church and School grounds are much safer for their efforts.
Blessings to all of you in the remaining days of summer!
