The Fifth Sunday of Lent

News and Notes

Catholic Appeal Update... As of March 18, just two weeks after Commitment weekend, OLA parishioners had pledged $25,500 which is 39% of their goal of $66,232; and SMG parishioners had pledged $13,796, which is 33% of their goal of $42,207.    I wish to thank all those who have pledged thus far and encourage all parish families to make a pledge to the Catholic Appeal.  If you do, it will be a blessing to all the vital ministries of the Catholic Church in eastern Massachusetts, and to your respective parish if it exceeds its fair share assessment and is eligible for a rebate.

Confession... If you have not yet celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation this Lent, and the regular Saturday afternoon time for Confession (3:00-3:45PM) does not work for you, why not this Wednesday, April 10, when I will be available in the Reconciliation Room at St. Maria Goretti Church from 6:30-7:30PM?  Come and experience the Lord’s forgiving, healing grace.

Blessings to all of you in the last full Lenten week ahead!
