Fifth Sunday of Easter
News and Notes: Carlos Gomez, our seminarian from Pope St. John 23rd Seminary in Weston, will be leaving us after May 1 to complete his final year of studies and return to his home Diocese of Des Moines, Iowa, where he will be ordained to the Transitional Diaconate on June 3. The bishop of Des Moines plans to ordain Carlos to the priesthood before the end of this calendar year. This weekend, we have two farewell events to thank him for his service to our parishes these last several months, and to congratulate him on his upcoming ordinations to the diaconate and priesthood. Saturday, April 23 there is a Pasta Dinner at OLA following the 4PM Mass; and Sunday, April 24 there is a reception at the Priest’s Residence at SMG following the 10AM Mass. Join us! Ascension Thursday, a Holyday of Obligation, is May 5. Masses will be at 4PM on Wednesday, May 4 at OLA; and Thursday, May 5 7AM at SMG, 9AM at OLA and 7PM at SMG. Blessings to all of you in the week ahead!
