Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord

News and Notes:
Confession... We are offering one last public opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation before the Easter Triduum.  It will take place this coming Monday, April 15 from 6:30-7:30PM in the Reconciliation Room of both parishes.  Please take advantage of this chance to experience the forgiving grace of our Savior.  There will be no scheduled confessions on Wednesday evening or Saturday afternoon of Holy Week.

Collections... There are two collections during Holy Week: on Good Friday we will take up a collection for the Holy Land shrines that are run by the Franciscan religious community; and at all Easter Masses we will take up a collection for the Clergy Funds, which supports the retirement and medical needs of the priests of the Archdiocese of Boston.  Thank you for your generosity to these two worthy causes.

Catholic Appeal update... Here is the latest Catholic Appeal update.  As of March 26, SMG parishioners had pledged $25,086, which is 59% of their goal of $42,207; and OLA parishioners had pledged $31,025, which is 47% of their goal of $66,232.  Thanks to all those who have already pledged to support the 50+ central ministries of the Catholic Church in Eastern Massachusetts, and at the same time helped us come closer to our respective fair-share assessment figures this year.  Once a parish meets its financial obligation to contribute to the mission of the wider Church through the Catholic Appeal, it will receive 50 cents of every dollar that is raised over that amount.  Please use a pledge card at the front entrances of our Church or go online to bostoncatholicappeal.org to make a pledge as soon as possible.

On behalf of Father Tony and our entire LCC Team, I wish you a Holy Week full of blessings!
