"Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels." Hebrews 13:2
Being greeted when you enter a place indicates you are welcome and valued! We want to welcome our guests and fellow parishioners to our churches with the same gesture of warmth and hospitality that we offer when people enter our homes.
Greeters are people who reflect the warmth and welcome of Christ himself. Always conscious of Christ’s words "For I was…a stranger and you welcomed me," (Matthew 25:35) greeters serve not only as a Minister of Hospitality, but also as a Liturgical Minister and a Minister of Evangelism. They set the tone for potential new parishioners as well as regular parishioners and are important to our mission as a Parish and as Catholics! A commitment of only 30 minutes, once per month is required.

Lord Jesus, you welcomed all who came into your presence. May I reflect that same spirit through this ministry. May your light shine in my heart this day. Remove from me anything that would stand in the way of radiating your presence.
As people enter this church to worship and praise You, may they hear your voice in my words and see your love in my actions. May my “welcome” reflect our joy at their presence and my “good-bye” encourage them to return soon.
I thank you for the opportunity to serve you and ask your blessing upon all my efforts. I ask this through our God who is the giver of all gifts.
Amen.
